Many Texas high school seniors are going off to college this fall. However, those with dyslexia might need a current evaluation that re-codes them as a student with a Specific Learning Disability in reading.
Colleges are not required to provide any accommodations or services unless the student asks, and most want a current evaluation. We’ve had many dyslexia clients recently that went to public and private universities as college freshmen without any support only to come back defeated from the amount of reading required.
